Does anyone have any Advice on how to handle a new tongue ring?

I got mine done yesterday and the swelling seems to have gone down (i can see the bar now)

Im starvingg though! any tips on how to eat without chomping on the bead?

also its a smidge sore. any pain relievers?Does anyone have any Advice on how to handle a new tongue ring?
My experience with getting tongue pierced was weird--it did not hurt whatsoever compared to any of my other piercings while he was sticking the needle through, but man afterwards it was swollen like hell and it hurt bad lol.

I would say eat some soup like drink those ones in the little microwavable cup so you don't need to chew or use spoons. Don't use a straw whenever you can avoid it since it will make your tongue work and it will hurt.

Here's a good link for you: http://www.bme.com/pierce/articles/ptaft鈥?/a>Does anyone have any Advice on how to handle a new tongue ring?
Ha i know how you feel. It hurts i have had mine done twice thanks to the fast closing up. When you eat do it slowly and easily. Keep the food on one side. Eat soup or jello if you cant eat reg food. Advil helped me and ice helped with swelling and pain. But mainly it will go away soon but be careful eating cause if you chomp it or pull it it will hurt longer. Good Luck
keep a cup of crushed ice around. let the ice melt in your mouth

you can take pain relievers, you can eat any thing that doesn't require alot of chewing. but after you eat, rinse your mouth out with any kind of mouth wash
You can try orajel

and you need to eat something

soft.
