Here's some advice: Don't do it.
The body naturally detoxes all the time. That's why we drink water and eat fiber. This whole new craze is going to be around another year and it will disappear once people stop buying the product. Remember how 'In the News' Adkins was? That's the same thing. It's simply a way to get your money away from you with promises of making you feel better.
Some problems with the Detox Diet
1. You're not eating food. You need to eat food to help your body continually function at it's highest level. If you stop eating food, you can't repair your muscles, your organs aren't as highly functional, and you feel like crap.
2. It HURTS. Being hungry is painful and irritating. If you fast for religion, that's okay, but doing it to 'cleanse' yourself is something else. When I was 5 years old, I learned to NOT touch the stove because it hurt. Pain means something is not working for your body. If you hurt because you haven't eaten in a day or two, you need to change things.
3. Do you really want to slow down your metabolism? Your body will go off-kilter if you stop eating. And what is this with lemons and cayanne? They picked two arbitrary items to eat and ran with it. It sounds like Scientologists flying in DC-10s or whatever.
People say they do feel good after a detox, but that's because they're finally drinking enough water. With all the sodas, juices, coffees, and beers out there, you're dehydrated. That's the only thing that's wrong with you.
If you simply add more water to your daily intake and you avoid fast food and fried food and too much candy, you'll feel 100 times better. Trust me.Can anyone give me info or advice on lemon detox diet?

The Detox Drink
To make one glass of Natural Tree Syrup and Lemon Drink take

Two small tablespoons (or 20 ml) of Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup.

Two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice (about half a lemon). Use fresh lemons, not lemon drink or concentrate.

Half a pinch of cayenne pepper or ginger (adjust to taste).
Mix the ingredients and dilute with half a pint of hot or cold water.
Drink as much as you like, ideally 6 to 9 glasses a day.
The main challenge of the programme is mental. Because we are accustomed to eating whenever we feel like it, the discipline of not taking any solid food can seem a bit daunting. Eating has become a habit and like any other habits it's not so easy to break, even temporarily. It is often very tempting to cheat during the detox. Don't give in to temptation. Stick to it! Be strong! When you experience hunger simply treat yourself to another Natural Tree Syrup and Lemon Drink.
