How do you lead/manage senior employees? 10 points for the best advice. ?

Well, I am in my early 20s and promoted to be an office manager. I have to work with senior accountants, finance officers, and program coordinators who are much older than me (40-60 years old).

Some people can see my ability to manage this office because they saw how hard I have worked to accomplish organizational goals. However, some people think I am just too young and don't deserve the position yet.

Please advice. Thank you :)How do you lead/manage senior employees? 10 points for the best advice. ?
Sounds like you have already proved some of the older employees wrong and it appears you are setting and accomplishing goals. Unfortunately, there are many ';old school'; people that feel job advancement comes with time served and not performance. Congrats on your promotion and do not let anyone try to put you on a parent age/ child age quilt trip.
