I want to get into photography and learn how to edit pictures? Advice on where I can start?

Hi, I would very much like to take pictures, edit them, and create new things. I have so many ideas but such little skill.





I am a very quick learner so I would appreciate if someone told me a program I can download.





Also are there any books that may be useful that I can dowload of utorrent?

Assuming you have a simple point and shoot camera at the least. You should see if your school or community has any photography related clubs or activities. When it comes to photo editing there are many programs out there such as http://gimp.org or http://getpaint.net . First, I would take an amateur photo class. If you're in high school, you could probably take one there.





Second, to edit pictures, you're going to either have to buy and download Photoshop, or use SplashUp online. I don't have Photoshop, but SplashUp's not too bad. You just don't get all the options.





You should try entering some contests, too. To learn new skills, if nothing else. Good luck!
I would get photoshop if your into editing. It takes some time to learn how to use but you can do a lot with it. Try and get a free trial and see if you like it.
